The 2007 Harley-Davidson Sportster® 1200 Low Agree, Disagree? By Mark Johnson(Owner), Sep. 4, 2008 My first Harley was a 2003 1200 Sportster. I liked it a lot but was told the newer bikes starting in 2004 had rubber mounted engine mounts to lessen the vibration. I didn't know any better until I bought a 2007 1200 Low. Not only is my new bike fuel injected but it has the rubber engine mounts. I lo... ve the new bike! I can ride for longer distances without feeling tired. One of the other big differences for me was the 4.5 gallon fuel tank my '07 has. The 2 gal tank on the '03 just doesn't cut it. The fuel injected engine smoothly propelled the bike down the road. The bike also displayed a great deal of road stability, even at higher speeds. I'd owned two early model Triumphs (poor man's Harley) and a 650 Honda. This bike is amazing. I've had it for a month and have put about 1300 miles on it. I rode up into the mountains yesterd... ay and the thing handles like a dream! I'm so glad I bought it, and it will get me ready for a bigger bike down the road. Took a MC safety course, begged a lot, and finally got it. I'm riding around lots (4000 miles a year), and really having a good time. I'm spending more than imaginable on chrome & accessories, but ... love it. Made Christmas & BD's easier for my wife. I'm very happy with a Sporty and don't think I'll be "upgrading" anytime soon (if at all)!
